
Marsh and Fran Damerall (shown above) complete a 3 year, 38,000 mile circumnaviation aboard their Shannon 38 #12 Invictus, making landfall in the fog at Block Island.
As the Dameralls were finishing up, Bob and Curlie Engdahl were beginning their circumnavigation aboard Shannon 38 #50 Piper. The Engdahls planned a more leisurely pace, with regular visits back to the States, but intended to do it the hard way: west to east, rather than east with the trade winds as the Dameralls had done.
