Shannon's Most Recent 39-April 2008

Shannon 39 Interiors

Every Shannon 39 interior is custom created to suit the tastes and requirements of the individual owner. A sailboat should support a comfortable lifestyle, whether it is used for weekend cruises or for circumnavigations that last years. People go sailing for pleasure, adventure, exploration and being close to nature. At Shannon, there are no limitations imposed on the design of the interior layouts because of a molded hull liner or fiberglass interior pan. There are no standard modules that must be incorporated into the layout. Selections such as a forward cabin with a centerline double berth or traditional V-berths, one head or two, separate stall showers, a guest cabin with over and under single berths that convert into sofa seating, and a main salon with a table and sliding settee transom berth seating result in infinite layout variation for the 39.

Each Shannon 39 can also be finished to an owners' unique and discriminating taste. Seen to the left are a few of the variations that owners have chosen over the years. One Shannon has a light, bright airy all white lamintate with hand rubbed oiled teak and stainless steel hardware. Another balances the white laminates with satin varnished cherry and bronze hardware for a warmer wood feel. Other owners have chosen a very handsome and elegant look for their Shannon interior using cherry woods, varnished and buffed to a glass smooth finish, or the more classic hand-rubbed oiled teak throughout.

Interior plans like the ones below are suggested variations and are only a starting point for a Shannon owner. We work with you to create the best custom interior imaginable.
