ON THE DECK

The deck of the Shoalsailer was designed and built with warm weather in mind. The cabin trunk and side decks are insulated with foam core, and the molded storm hood that covers most of the trunk top creates additional protection from the sun. There are four opening skylight hatches with screens along with seven opening portlights for full ventilation below decks. The wide side decks allow easy access to the bow from the cockpit. The Shoalsailer utilizes Shannon's hull to deck joint, long recognized as one of the strongest in the industry.

IN THE COCKPIT

In addition to fabulous sailing, the Shoalsailer also provides a huge comfortable cockpit for all the out-of-doors enjoyment that only boating provides. For lounging, swimming, etc., the Shoalsailer is the ultimate on the waterfront home. A unique, convertible bimini top provides protection from the sun or weather under sail, at anchor or pulled up on the beach. The special "in/out seating" in the cockpit provides instant protection under the bimini or seating out in the sun for a tan on the wide coaming seats. A large cockpit table creates the perfect place for dining and entertaining guests. To make sailing and docking easier, the Shoalsailer is equipped with dual helm/wheel stations and dual engine controls at the rear of the cockpit. The large "sugar scoop" transom swim platform makes for easy and safe boarding. With the swim ladder, the Shoalsailer is great for all water sports. Unlike many multihulls, the helm stations are placed aft so the helmsperson does not have their back to the family and guests and can take part in the conversations and fun. Electronics and navigational equipment is located on a swivel pedestal for ease of visibility at both helms stations.

To compliment the exciting sailing performance and luxurious cockpit, the Shoalsailer is a beautiful place to spend a weekend or an extended vacation. The interior styling is both modern and classic. Soft flowing curves are highlighted by beautifully varnished solid teak joinerwork. In spite of the 30 inch draft, the Shoalsailer still offers full 6'-5" headroom below. The wide beam of the Shoalsailer certainly provides accommodations and livability usually only found in much larger boats.
The Shoalsailer features a tri-cabin layout with berths for six and the teak drop-leaf table in the main salon seats six in designer comfort.. There are two private sleeping cabins, one located forward and one aft, both with privacy doors. Each cabin has cedar lined hanging lockers and drawer storage, overhead opening hatches, and the aft cabin has an opening port for excellent light and ventilation. Fold-away "pullman/concordia" type berths port and starboard in the main salon are always neat, and conveniently convert for eating, lounging or comfortable sleeping. Sliding settee transom berths are also available.

The Shoalsailer has a roomy, full-sized head aft (optional stall shower) that is ventilated by an opening port and overhead opening hatch. Inside the head is a shower, wet locker, medicine cabinet, and sink vanity with a Corian countertop.
