The Shannon 53HPS has a covered aft lounge deck which is accessible from the owners' cabin, the deck, the dock, a dinghy, or the swim platform. Because aft sections of the Shannon 53 HPS are broad, the aft deck is roomy for entertaining guests, or private enough for two people enjoying a beautiful sunset. Dinghy storage is located on the roof of the lounge deck.

The aft deck has a hinged transom door boarding/swim platform and swim ladder. Note the oversized stainless steel deck cleat and stainless steel rails,which are standard equipment on the Shannon 53HPS
