The Voyager 36 utilizes state of the art construction techniques throughout. Shannon Yachts has no equal in building rugged offshore yachts. Each Voyager is built on a limited production basis with attention to detail, system engineering, and hull and deck lamination procedures that are uncompromised.

The hull is cored with closed cell PVC linear foam providing exceptional seaworthiness, impact resistance, sound deadening, strength to weight ratios and insulation properties. Shannon has been using non-balsa composite construction since 1981. State of the art NPG isophthalic gel coats, vinylester resin, uni-directional and bi-axial laminates and full length stringer grid system make every Voyager incredibly strong and durable.

The deck is cored with closed cell PVC cross linked foam for rigidity and insulation. The hull to deck joint is both mechanically fastened and epoxy sealed. The entire joint is covered with a strong, impact-resistant rubrail, with a stainless steel insert.

All electrical, plumbing and propulsion systems are engineered to the strictest marine guidelines. Electrical wiring is to ABYC codes, and all underwater fittings are bonded for protection. Marine grade seacocks are used throughout the Voyager with double hose clamps. The propeller shafts are carried on custom vee struts to prevent damage.

Shannon's custom capabilities also apply to all system installations. Electrical systems can include dockside power and a generator to power reverse cycle air conditioning/heaters, stoves, refrigerators, desalinators, etc. Alternatively, all 12VDC systems incorporating large banks of gel cell batteries, oversized alternators, solar panels, and holdover refrigeration have been included on several Voyagers. Shannon's knowledgeable building team discuss with all owners their specific systems requirements to ensure that every Voyager provides total satisfaction.

Access to systems for repair and maintenance is a Shannon specialty. The Voyager 36 is one of the few mid-sized powerboats that has engines that are easily removable.

The Voyagers use only proven state of the art composite technology for strength and long-term durability. As a reflection of this confidence, all Shannon-built boats over the past 25 years have a 10 year hull and deck laminate warranty. There is no stronger or better built motor yacht available at any price. Shannon encourages independent marine surveyor inspections prior to purchase and during construction to verify that our quality standards are not just advertising claims.
